Jackson's International recently published an online catalog for their upcoming March 28-29, 2017 Collector's Choice auction. The sale features a great collection of Americana art, antiques and collectibles that will be auctioned off beginning at 9 am daily in the gallery located at Jackson's headquarters in Cedar Falls, Iowa.
There are over 900 lots, featuring several estates including the Estate of Robert and "Jake" Hockridge, Bettendorf, Iowa who were long time collectors and dealers of fine early American primitives and Civil War memorabilia. Also included are the estates of Jerry Pabst, Omaha, Nebraska; Virgil Wood, Sioux City, Iowa; Anna Ta-King Luh, St. Louis, Missouri; and Mr. and Mrs. Jerome Ash of Detroit, Michigan.

Jackson’s International Auctioneers and Appraisers, headquartered in Cedar Falls, Iowa, hosted another spectacular World Treasures auction on November 29 and 30, 2016 with over 2,000 registered bidders representing nearly 70 countries and sales totaling close to three million dollars over the two day period.
The sale featured a number of important estate collections fresh to the market, including the estate of the late Jerry Pabst (1937-2016), Omaha, Nebraska; the late Mrs. Nell Rankin of New York; the estate of Jerome and Caroline Ash, Detroit, Michigan; items from the U.S. Ambassador to the Soviet Union, Laurence Adolf Steinhardt (1892-1950); and the Thomas Moreland collection.

At Jackson’s International’s auction of May 24th and May 25th, 2016. The multiple estate and collections auction featured treasures from around the world and attracted over 1,000 international bidders totaling $1.5 million in sales.
The auction opened with a small offering of paintings, works on paper, and bronzes featuring a typical seashore scene by Hendrik Willem Mesdag (Dutch 1831-1915) which came from a collection in Minnesota and sold to a phone bidder from the Netherlands for $100,000. That was followed by an interesting preparatory drawing for an altar crucifix attributed to Etienne Delaune (French 1518-1595) which sold to a Parisian phone bidder for $63,750. A charming painting by Frederick Soulacroix (French 1858-1933) depicting a young woman making a curtain call, sold for $20,000 and an oil on canvas painting depicting the Holy Family by Michael Rieser (Austrian 1828-1905) sold for $14,375. A pair of religious painting attributed to Luis Berruaco (Mexican 18th century) went to a buyer in France for $9,375 and a 17th century Dutch portrait of a gentleman sold to a buyer in the Netherlands for $8,125.
